Project Engineer Responsibilities

• Make recommendations and assist with the design of solutions based on client requirements.

• Lead small teams or act as an engineer within a team to implement and deliver client projects.

• Interested in continued learning and keeping up with changes to relevant technologies such as: Microsoft Platforms, Cloud, Virtualization, Networking, Storage, Backup and Recovery, and Security.

• Be proactive in leading, guiding, and assisting others within your area of expertise.

• Be willing to travel in order to assist local clients, when necessary.

Typical Projects Include:

• IT environment discovery and assessment

• Infrastructure expansion because of merger and acquisitions or business expansion into new locations

• Office 365 and cloud migrations

• Centralized computing including virtual desktop and remote desktop services

• Server virtualization and data center solutions

• Backup and disaster recovery design and implementation

Qualifications:

As a Project Engineer at Lazorpoint, you must also have a certain level of technical experience and interpersonal capabilities to perform at a high level.

• Has 5+ years experience with the Microsoft platform.

• Has 1-2 years project implementation experience.

• Previous mid-market or consulting experience is preferred.

• Has an understanding of extraordinary service and a deep desire to provide every customer with a great experience.

• Is internally motivated and able to produce high-quality outcomes, both individually and in collaboration with teammates.

• Has excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.

• Has the ability to translate and clearly communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical individuals.

• Is a problem-solver with strong organizational and analytical skills.

• A degree in a technology or business-related field is preferred.

• Technical certifications from Microsoft, VMWare, Cisco, Dell, Citrix, etc. are not required, but definitely a plus.
