The end of the year is always the busiest. Finishing up projects and responding to client requests in between the holidays and vacations can be challenging, but luckily we’ve found a few ways to stay sane!
This year, we held our annual holiday party at Vosh in Lakewood. Rumor has it a handful of Lazorpoint team members left around 12:00 AM with food in tow—you can’t leave a party early when there’s still gelato and truffle mac n’ cheese to be eaten ;). Vosh was a great venue for us—the food was incredible, they had plenty of space for our always-hilarious white elephant gift exchange, and that night, there was a dueling piano show that was free of charge for our team!
Chocolate chip pancakes is definitely a reason to get to work early. For our monthly team meeting in December, the Lazorpoint team gathered in the kitchen for pancakes freshly made by the leadership team. Thank you Dave, Russ, Kelly and Matt for making our morning a little sweeter.
This month, we welcomed a new Infrastructure Engineer to our team. Clayton Theys hails from Pittsburgh, and although he’s a Steelers fan, we’re excited to have him on board. His previous experience at Dollar Bank and the University of Cincinnati is a great match for our Service Desk. Welcome to the team, Clayton!
Every year, Lazorpoint chooses a charity organization to donate gifts and necessities to give to families and people in need. This year, we did the Adopt a Family program through OhioGuidestone. During November and December, we donated and wrapped items from a family’s wish list to help provide a Christmas they otherwise would not have. Thank you to our team members for going out of their way, in the midst of their own Christmas shopping, to help our adopted family’s Christmas be one they will never forget.
Clay Archer and Chris Fedor both celebrated birthdays this month, and we celebrated at our monthly team meeting with a simple, delicious cake with chocolate frosting (as if the chocolate chip pancakes weren't enough). Happy birthday, Clay and Chris!
We also celebrated Andy Calori's one year anniversary at Lazorpoint. Thank you, Andy, for your dedication to the team and your hard work over the last year!
