Sometimes you need outside help to recruit great talent to the team. There are obvious choices. Retained search recruiters usually do a nice job, but you pay handsomely for their services. Contingency firms cost less but since they only get paid if you hire their candidate, they’ll tend to work best on easier to find talent, and not at all for harder to find talent.
