Don is the lead systems engineer for the Lazorpoint network engineering team. He has been the ‘point man’ for a number of Lazorpoint clients for nearly ten years. His experience includes his own successful start-up, giving him the insight many of our small-to-middle market clients find so valuable.
Prior to joining Lazorpoint, Don was founder of Praxis Computer, where he personally built and managed over 200 client relationships, serving as the focal point of technical know-how and support for these companies. He also managed sourcing relationships with dozens of suppliers.
Don’s work has spanned global network connectivity and infrastructure implementation of all kinds, from the strategic design to the actual build out, including structural cabling, communications equipment, servers, workstations as well as email, VPN connectivity and multiple fail-over WAN solutions.
Don has been extensively involved helping leading manufacturers to achieve QS9000 status and other quality management systems. He has extensive technical infrastructure experience around document management and EDI requirements as well as shop floor data collection solutions.
Don’s technical background is deeply based, built on his early roots as the technical manager for a retail “white box” systems builder company. He has deep understanding of servers and workstations, POS systems, network integration across a host of platforms and technologies including HP, IBM and Data General mini-frames, TCP/IP, ISDN, T1, DSL, and Cable. He also has extensive security experience leveraging a variety of products.
Don’s passion is integrating technologies that help organizations to better service and sell to their customers. His specialty is seamless integration of technically complex and hard to integrate systems and applications.
