Dave Lazor has nearly 20 years experience helping high growth organizations leverage information technology to better sell to and serve their customers. Dave is himself a “grower” — a principal founder of multi-year growth-award winning Lazorpoint.
Dave began his career as a freshly-minted electrical engineer, joining Electronic Data Systems (EDS) technically supporting a division of General Motors, Delphi Packard Electric (DPE). Dave held a variety of positions including Customer Service Representative, Network System Engineer and Application System Engineer.
Dave next moved west, joining Intel as a systems engineer on their largest server project ever at that time, creating the chip for the IBM PC. There he worked closely with both Intel and IBM’s marketing, quality, engineering, materials, and production teams in all phases of the product life cycle. Dave led a highly motivated team that integrated, tested, and troubleshot new products. This team was responsible for more than $120M in annual revenue for Intel.
In these roles, Dave was able to deliver tangible business results — improving business process and implementing valuable Information Technology solutions that automated the process. He continued that results-focused business improvement tradition, founding Lazorpoint, Inc. in 1997.
Dave is an active supporter of programs and organizations that foster and promote the entrepreneurial spirit in Northeast Ohio, as well as those that encourage high-school students pursuing higher education in the areas of math, science, and engineering. Dave currently serves on the board of directors for the Cleveland Chapter of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) and the John Carroll University Entrepreneurs’ Association (JCU EA). Dave is a frequent speaker on the topics around entrepreneurship. Lazorpoint has been recognized year after year as one of the fastest growing and most successful entrepreneurial organizations in Northeast Ohio.
Dave received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan.
