Career Opportunities
While technical knowledge is very important to Lazorpoint, it is only one part of an individual that we look at during the hiring process. We want people who are able to manage client relationships. We want people who:
- Take responsibility and grab onto leadership opportunities as they arise
- Are empathetic, outgoing, personable, and fun to be around
- Can relate to clients on multiple levels — not everyone is a techie
- Are able to handle stressful situations with ease
- Can “read” our clients over the phone and relate to their problems
- Are passionate about technology
Client Services Engineer
Our Client Services Engineers are the backbone of Lazorpoint. The CSE team serves clients by installing, troubleshooting, and supporting their networks, personal computers, business software, and other devices/systems, both on-site and remotely. Our CSEs also work closely with our System Engineers to design system configurations, schedule upgrades, and improve overall network performance.
Systems Engineer
Our Systems Engineers design, deploy, manage, troubleshoot, and support the IT infrastructure. This position is unique within the organization in that it requires business understanding, project management experience, and the ability to delegate. Systems Engineers must be able to work independently to solve problems, identify opportunities, and satisfy client requirements. Our SEs also mentor Client Service Engineers and provide feedback to help them grow in their current role.
Developer
Our Developers might be considered the glue that brings disparate technology together. They’re not just programmers – each of them has a level of business acumen that allows them to create easy-to-use solutions that meet the needs of all types of users. Developers work closely with SEs, CSEs, and Relationship Managers to build not only our own internal systems, but also products that help make everyone’s job easier.
Relationship Manager
Our Relationship Managers are critical to the relationships we have with clients. They need to understand each client’s business and be a strong advocate on their behalf. Relationship Managers set and manage expectations internally and externally to keep everyone on the same page. If they happen to have a technical background that’s great, but that is not a prerequisite to being a good Relationship Manager in our eyes.
